Hi my name is Sam Milton
This is a personal web blog which i am constantly documenting and updating with all of my university final year projects.

I am a 22 year old flash designer/web-designer studying my final year for a BA (Hons) in Digital Art and Technology, at the Institute of Digital Art and Technology, based at the University of Plymouth, Devon, England, UK. My hobbies include a range of sports (mainly football, and Squash), music, flash design, new web designs and creations.
Before starting my final year i had completed my years industry placement at Stoke Damerel Community College in Plymouth, Devon where i took control of all online services provided by the school. i am currently working part time at the college to fund my studying at university.
My job title at the college was online designer, which covered all design aspects on the college site, also covering offline material, visual displays for TV’s spread around the college, poster and flyer designs and working along side the graphic designer Gareth Coxon with other work throughout the year.
Personal Skills
From a young age, & having my first computer system I have had an enthusiastic interest in the media industry particularly in web design & animation. I have always been very interested in animation from watching cartoons as a small child & my aim is to build my skills in these areas to create my own unique style for websites & animations in the future. Since commencing Art College in 2003, I have been ever more interested in this area & my goal is to further my skills fully in these areas for work later on in life.
Over the years I have expanded my skills in a large numbers of applications & programming languages, throughout Art College & University. I constantly use these skills to develop my ideas within my work & projects at The University of Plymouth, & my own work in my spare time as well for work on client projects.
Some of the applications I am highly skilled in are the Macromedia studio applications, which include Flash, Dreamweaver, Fireworks, & director.
I am very skilled at using the adobe applications including Photoshop, & Illustrator, plus a range of coding languages such as Html, Css, & Actionscript 2.0 which I have been using all of these for approximately 3 ½ years for the production of work throughout Art College & University in projects, & also for spare time work.
Throughout my time at the Art College & Plymouth University I have studied other applications that I have never experienced. From completing projects in these areas I have become more knowledgeable of these new applications & languages & plan to use & develop these new skills in future work throughout & after University.
These include 3D Studio Max, which I have used a small number of times to design 3d models & animations for current projects. I have also been introduced to new programming languages such as Asp & JavaScript, which are very new to me & will be using in future projects & assignments.
